House Fixes: Hell’s Kitchen
What do you do when the heart of your home is completely wrecked? In one of our remodels, Armando’s team had to figure what to do when the functionality, lighting and size of one of their properties’ kitchen just didn’t work.
In order to open up the area, they decided to demolish the peninsula and add a couple of windows and light fixtures for a brighter, more inviting area. They stuck to the original black and white color scheme, but added a black solid-surface counter and a stone backsplash with small, black tile that perfectly ties together the kitchen with the laminate flooring.
In order to complete the perfect, cozy feel, they also took down the walls surrounding the neighboring fireplace, and spruced up the original, black tile by the fireplace. Armando’s team was able to turn this dark, dingy room into a bright, welcoming kitchen any family would like to call their own.
